Convert Apple Numbers spreadsheets to Excel with formulas intact

A .numbers file is easy to share among Mac users and useless to anyone on Excel, Google Sheets or a Windows PC. Numbers to Excel converts the spreadsheet into a standard XLSX workbook that opens everywhere, keeping the formulas, formats and layout as well as the numbers.

Upload the .numbers file and every sheet becomes a worksheet. Where a Numbers sheet holds several tables, they are placed on the worksheet without overlapping, each under its own name. Cells keep their type, so dates stay dates and numbers stay numbers; currency, thousands separators, decimal places and percentages become the matching Excel number formats; bold, italic, colours, fills, alignment, merged cells and column widths carry over. Formulas that Excel understands, such as SUM, AVERAGE, IF and VLOOKUP, are written as live formulas. A formula that only exists in Apple Numbers, or that refers to another table by name, is written as its last calculated value instead, and the tool tells you how many cells that affected.

Charts, images and free-floating text boxes on a sheet are not part of the export. Files from the current Numbers and from Numbers '09 are accepted; a password-protected spreadsheet has to be unlocked in Numbers first. The file is deleted from our servers within 60 minutes.
