Extract Images
Pull every embedded image out of a PDF into a zip.
Pull every image out of a PDF into one zip file
Designers and researchers rebuilding a slide deck run into the same wall: the pictures they need are trapped inside a PDF, and screenshotting one page at a time loses quality and takes forever. Extract Images goes through the whole document and lifts out every embedded picture in its original form.
Upload one PDF and the file is processed on our servers over a secure connection, then removed again within the hour. The tool scans each page, collects every image that is actually embedded in the file, and packages them together into a single zip you can download and unzip locally. There are no settings to pick; you send the PDF and get the pictures back.
This tool only pulls images that already exist as separate embedded objects. A scanned page saved as one big picture still comes through as a single full-page image, and a page built from vector shapes or text alone produces nothing to extract. If you actually want the page content as text, PDF to Text or PDF to HTML serves you better. For editable slides built from the pages, PDF to PowerPoint is the right choice instead.
It runs the same way on desktop and mobile browsers, with no software to install and no images left behind on our servers.
How to use the Extract Images tool
